Timken Crossed Roller Bearings (TXR) are designed to provide maximum rotational accuracy and stiffness in a small space and save on material costs. TXR type bearings are suitable for machine tool applications such as vertical boring machines and vertical grinding machines. They are also particularly suitable for many pivot and base applications where space is limited, or where the low possible center of gravity of the rotating mass is required.
Size range: 457.2 mm to 1549.4 mm (8 in. to 61 in.)
design features
The TXR type has two rows of rollers coexisting in one space, and the intersection part only occupies a small space, thereby reducing the material of the bearing box, reducing the machining requirements, and saving costs.
Line contact on the raceway and roller construction provides high rotational accuracy, high stability and greater tilting stiffness.
The adjustable design of preload prolongs bearing life, increases stiffness within the maximum limit and provides minimum runout.
This design facilitates lubricant priming and contaminant intrusion.
Nylon spacers have low inertia and low operating torque.
Components are constructed of case-hardened steel with a rough, impact-resistant core and hard surfaces.
Applications: Precision rotary indexing tables for machine tools, vertical and horizontal boring machines, vertical grinding machines, rotary surface grinding machines, large gear hobbing machines, gun and radar rotary tables, large radio and optical telescopes, rotary cameras, steering pivots and couplings Casting machines, height-restricted pivots, microscope stages, rod center pivots, rotating bogies, welding brackets, large tanker mooring buoys, rotary assembly fixtures, industrial robots, etc.
